I have heard that this by-pass will only take approximately 11 minutes of the journey. So lets slow down a bit, allow some extera time and save the countryside and government money.

The impact on local, precious bio-diversity will be catastrophic :(

Please find an alternative that doesn’t destroy valuable and beautiful wildlife habitat, as well water meadows which would help in the future for flooding

Think outside the box! Look at all that will be destroyed Ecologically!
Think about alternatives/invest in public transport.
We are supposed to be helping nature not destroying it.
We need to live in harmony and balance.
We have a choice nature doesn’t and not so long ago it was our salvation. How quick some forget.

There is an alternative to the one that cuts the precious habitat in half. What can’t that be used and let us move further towards 30% of land for nature by 2030 than further away from it.

Please stop this bypass, so much destruction to our neighbourhood. Waste of money, encouraging traffic, pollution.

This scheme must be stopped! It represents devastation of a beautiful ecological world, the destruction of ancient trees and many varieties of national bats who will not survive in the habitat left after construction of this horrendous bypass. There are no proven benefits for road connectivity at this stretch, this road will only move the traffic congestion to Fontwell and not shorten the journey at all. The cost for this project is astronomical and in no relation to any benefit. Please consider the Arundel Alternative instead!

I’ve spent my fair share of time in heavy traffic on the A27 but I can’t agree that the solution lies in destroying complex natural ecosystems that take millennia to establish … and once trashed are gone forever. Anyway what we really need are fewer cars and better, cheaper public transport!

Development is having a devastating impact on the natural environment in this area. These plans will only add to this devastation.

With the less destructive and cheaper alternative put forward by the 'Save Arundel Countryside' Goup. I object most strongly at the proposed intentions of Highways England!

This proposed build will do a great deal of damage to the environment and landscape, which is not necessary.

The grey route is completely contrary to climate change objectives and is not justifiable by any measure. To force through a scheme that only 7% voted for is undemocratic.

this expensive and environmentally damaging project is the antithesis of what our government should be concentrating on

Please reject the hugely destructive "Grey Route" - and go instead for the "Arundel Alternative", kinder to our historic and treasured landscape and the stability and continuity of our environment and the communities (both human and from the natural world) within it. From one who fears for our children's and grandchildren's future, and is urging you to choose an option which better serves to secure a more caring and less destructive and shortsighted world for them to inherit.

The money needed for the bypass should be used instead to improve public transport links in the area, in line with goals to reduce the effect of the climate crisis. In an area potentially prone to flooding, should this not be a priority?

No amount of time shaved off any ones journey is worth the devastation to peaceful local villages and the beautiful a Arun valley once its gone its gone and when we need all the greenspaces for the environment totally the wrong thing to do . STOP THIS BYPASS
