Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

It is essential that the priceless heritage of the ancient woodland and the Binsted village community is preserved .

I spent 20 years of my life growing up in Arundel. Binsted was also a huge part of my life and still is to this day. Having spent many years living in Arundel I am well aware of the issues regarding traffic. Binsted's ancient woodland is a truly magical place and must be protected from any sort of development so that future generations can grow up, as i did, in such a peaceful, stunning area of beauty. Any of the options that involve destroying Binsted and nearby countryside and community, would be sending Sussex to hell in a handcart. Here is a song urging you to, at best build NO new road at all, and at worst to choose the more minor option that stays in Arundel itself (option 1 I believe). The other two options (2 and 3 I think) both devastate important areas of Binsted and Tortington, and are beyond considering. These are mistakes that cannot be undone. Leave the countryside alone and the wildlife it's already being destroyed just to save a few minutes of the journey time which in time will soon be full of traffic.

You have a duty to protect our national park, to prevent segregation of communities, to ensure minimal damage to our countryside and yet this has all been trashed for the sake of 2 minutes off a journey time.

Please listen to and act upon the wishes of the Binsted and Arundel community favourably and help preserve the British country side. Thank you.

We will have no wildlife or nature left in UK to enjoy

I've been visiting Binsted for about 30 years. It is a haven of peace and a truly beautiful place. The idea of running a motorway through ANY village is insane. This village has a medieval church, ancient woodlands, Roman villas, butterflies and newts, a valley and a stream, a friendly community. Running a motorway through this place won't just destroy the land where the road runs, it will deface, vandalise and desecrate the landscape for hundreds of yards on either side. Please consider other, less damaging, routes – or improving the A27 as it stands.

how can anyone even think of destroying such a historical village let alone people's homes and wildlife. There are other less damaging routes the bypass can take - although it isn't necessary to have a bypass at all.

Must be other options than ruining peoples lives,living and community.

Too much of our countryside is being lost. Save our lovely villages! We have enough roads.

Please seriously review less damaging alternatives.

Has widening the existing road been considered where possible? Does encroaching on the National Park set a precedent?

This proposed rout will affect me directly as I love Binstead and the Black Horse, the golf course and the surrounding area. Please think again

The A27 is too congested . It is an environmental disaster and a health hazard. Drivers become impatient causing unnecessary accidents.

It would be a shame to change this village in any way.

This is monstrous.

This has to be rejected. I cannot believe that this is even on the table. There are better, more effective routes
