Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Stop the destruction of ancient and beautiful countryside it's not necessary all this is in the name of money the land is to be saved for future generations and don't omit woodland pictures tell the truth

Can't believe this disasterous plan is even being considered.

Why destroy countryside when the present A27 via Arundel is 'serviceable' subject to improvement as per Option 1 - this would be a better choice - some will say Arundel town will be subdivided but this is already so with two very different settlements . East is the old town , West 'new build' with a very different atmosphere and architecture - the two will never mix comfortably and the present A27 will not be 'grassed over' if 5A goes ahead but will remain.

This is a horrific and heartbreaking destruction of wildlife and beauty.

We need to keep our countryside untouched as much as possible for us and future generations.

5A would destroy too much natural space which is vital for the success of our future existence

It would be important to preserve the village of Binsted and its businesses and wildlife. At the same time I can see that Option 1 would adversely affect an even larger portion of people. So I consider Option 3 to be the best

The impact of Option 5A on Binsted is well documented, but the effect of this route on Walberton needs to be recognised - the result increase in rat run traffic on Yapton Lane and through the villlage is dangerous and unacceptable. Why the change from the old pink/blue route, now Option 3 which achieves the objective for Arundel and does least harm to surrounding villages.

I grew up in this area and still visit regularly. Option 5a would be a horrendous crime against our heritage, both culturally and environmentally.

This beautiful part of the English countryside should be protected.

I live in Yapton Lane and the road is too busy as it is with lorrys driving all times of the day and night and extending the road will only exasperate this. I regularly walk my dog through Binsted Woods my route is straight across the proposed route. I also attend Binsted Church once a month and enjoy the very special peace and tranquillity that the very old church has to offer, this will be ruined with the A27 on the doorstep. Please please do not put your monstrous road through our beautiful tranquil village.

If an choice has to be made, Please Chose option 1, we as humans need to do what we can for nature and not keep destroying their/our habitats, We need nature more than we need a dual carriage way. If option 3 or 5A goes ahead where does it stop!? We need to have a culture change in how nature is seen. Technology is not going to help us survive in the long term, if we keep going the way we are. Common sense needs to prevail here. PLEASE.

Please please save our countryside and adopt only Option 1. Thank you

Binsted is irreplaceable

We need to be protecting all ancient woodland and the communities that live within and around them so that includes opposing option 3 as much as option 5A. I cant sign this petition because you recommend the alternative being option 3 or 1. What are you thinking ? Preserve Binsted - yes -but at the expense of neighboring greenbelt - because its 'less damaging?' and 'shorter'- the destruction of ancient woodland involved in option 3 cannot be understated. I suggest you change the above to read option 1 alone and the new purple route that has been suggested as a variant. We need to be working together to stop both routes 3 and 5A .
