Any option that does not fully take inot account the needs of future generations should not be considered for a moment, What ever the immediate financail gain the future is more important.

Brexit is meant to be the opportunity of a lifetime to enhance and protect our landscape and heritage. Now we need joined up thinking from goverment.

As our beautiful landscape and villages are gradually being damaged it is impotant to retain as much as possible.

The route you have chosen is the most damaging of the three Options to the natural and rural environment and to the special qualities of the South Downs National Park. Reject Option 5A for the Arundel bypass through Binsted and Tortington villages and countryside and the Arun valley watermeadows.

It's idiotic to stick with Option 5A when there is a healthier alternative and so little support for 5A.

I live in Arundel and do not agree with the proposed option. I don’t agree that a bypass is the option as it will breed more contempt and create more traffic, which will only end up at either end; Worthing and Chichester. I bought into the traffic and accept it and compared to other places i.e. Portsmouth, Hayling, etc it’s no different if not better.

The consultation process appeared to be a tick box process only as no comments or alternative points of view were considered, just a mantra of it will save 6 minutes. The fact that it appears to have been moved considerably closer to approx 30 properties to appease just one at Tortington without any additional consultation seems to me to indicate some bias. In addition the impact on the environment overall has been glossed over.

The South downs and the villages within are a protected site with National Park status ..and I want to keep it that that way!!
