i am furious to find that yet another woodland is set to suffer due to the delusion that more roads ever mean less traffic.

Binstead and its ancient woods are an oasis of calm south of the A27.

More investment in rail, buses and cycle infrastructure please - new roads only lead to more traffic, as proved a million times, so last century :(

Irreplaceable countryside gone for ever because of too many cars on our roads. Maybe some lard arses should start using public transport or factor in a few more minutes travelling time.

This option is the most damaging for the local area. It will have irreversible damage on the local wildlife & ancient woodland as well as the surrounding countryside & woodland. Please reconsider.

no woodland should ever be destroyed.

Destroying the local environment for the sake of a few minutes sitting in traffic is morally very wrong

The proposals make a mockery of the protection supposedly provided for National Parks and ancient woodlands. The Highways England video is very misleading, the actual impact is likely to be far more damaging. The government has learnt nothing about the fact road schemes just encourage more vehicular transport as has been shown time and again.

This will destroy this ancient land, it’s deep history and divide too many communities that have maintained the essence of this unique lowland that gives meaning and the natural bridge from the recently assigned National Park to the only unspoilt reaches of Coast in this sector.

This mania for allowing corporate interests to overrule democracy needs to be STOPPED! Deception is not democracy!

Signed in solidarity from a member of the campaign trying to protect Hereford's precious heritage and countryside from a similar threat

Binsted is unique and should be saved from the ravages of Highway England's heinous plan

Anything to slow the tyranny of destruction in the name of modernity.

I have walked through ancient woodlands in the Binsted area , I cannot explain the deep sense of our past, of our natural heritage, of peace in this increasingly uncaring world. Let us leave some precious places steeped in our past where we can feel this spiritual sense which only nature can provide. It is a jewel in our land scape.

Roads do not solve problems, they merely shift them around and create more.

Please find a solution that enables this ancient landscape to be passed on to future generations intact.

First heard of this today on the Today programme. It sounds absolutely horrendous.
