Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Please reconsider the route

The wilful destruction of our ever decreasing countryside MUST be challenged especially where a suitable alternative is available.

HE need to be held accountable for the destructive projects they have going on around the country, they are up to their tricks all over and need to be stopped

Let’s put our threatened wildlife before more roads

Option 5a is not the way forward. It should be rejected. Please rethink the scheme and opt for one that does minimal damage to our environment. Option 1 is good !!

Option 1 with short by-pass section to avoid railway station and all route dual with good flow design around Ford Rd junction would be better option.

There are always better solutions to transport issues and building vulgar new roads through open countryside is not one of them! We're having the same issue here in Herefordshire with a Council determined to build a vanity project road despite nearly 700 objections at the planning stage and a further 1750 objection to the Woodlands Trust about loss of ancient woodland . Good luck folks!

Please stop and think! We are losing countryside and habitats at an alarming rate. Increasingly we are realising we must change some of the destructive ways we live - but governments are still promoting huge land-hungry infrastructure projects across our small country. Could we emphasise public transport, fewer journeys, more car sharing and stop, just stop, building more roads.

Consider alternative routes. What is the Dukes views on this bypass did he not stop the extension of the A27 originally??

I am very much opposed to this bypass. Option 1 is quite adequate and much less destructive

More destruction of priceless natural forest for the profits of those who benefit by the long chain of people involved in building the route. But these people all die eventually and what is left for the future generations to behold? Another road, more egos more cash for those only concerned with their own short lived importance. Leave the natural rescource as is, this is incredible beauty destroyed for what, more inevitable traffic jams, as these roads too will fill to capacity! Reduce number of users it’s not rocket science, leave this area virgin as possible. Put all to work and funds on keeping roads already existing up to notch and pot hole free. How can we okay deforestation it’s insanity and a crime against nature! What hope is there for other forests if the U.K. doesn’t care!

This scheme is awful, destructive and unnecessary when there are far better and less environmentally damaging ideas.

Aren't humans ruining this planet enough already as it is. People are so greedy, selfish and thoughtless. When will it stop. We need to protect and preserve places like this.

There are too few 'wild places' as ancient and beautiful as Binsted Wood.

We are losing swathes of the countryside to homebuilding but to contemplate running a road through this very important woodlandbeggars belief where will common sense take over

Have walked in the beauty of this outstanding area for the past 50 yrs ....do not want to loose it.

Please don't destroy this beautiful area of Sussex to allow yet more cars to clog up the roads and pollute the environment. Our countryside and ancient woodland is precious - destroying it now will have an enormous impact on the local flora and fauna, and the future generations who will never have the opportunity to enjoy it.
