The Arundel is the obvious choice both for the environment and the economy

It makes no sense! It won’t stop the traffic, it will just move it all whilst harming the environment, affecting wildlife, locals lives and childrens lungs and future! Oh and will cost millions that we don’t need to waste

We have to have a consertive effort to save areas of SSI and natural beauty. Imoved back to West Sussex after 38 years in rural Devon and I am horrified to see how much the beautiful natural areas have been sacrificed

Arundel doesn't need a bypass. I commute from Worthing to Chichester, always via Arundel, and the traffic is never so bad that it would require another route.

Disgraceful that this wrong decision seems to continue to be backed by government and the replies from my letters have been dismissive of Arundel Alternative

The much more modest 'Arundel alternative' is appropriate if further works at Arundel are, indeed, necessary.

I support the much shorter alternative route.

We must stop facilitating traffic and making car king. Protecting bio diversity should be our top priority together with ending fossil fuels

Planning Inspectorate needs to listen to local opinion and question why more appropriate alternatives have not been considered

Completely against the grey route as it has been ill conceived, too expensive, will severely impact on wildlife/ valuable agricultural land/ the local Rifes/increase traffic unacceptablely on a small village road through Walberton and ruin the area with the additional noise and pollution

Please preserve the wild and beautiful wooded and wetland Arundel countryside. Do not sacrifice those precious values to convenience and commerce. Adopt the Arundel Alternative plan

This dreadful proposal will destroy an exceptionally beautiful view of Arundel, its castle and north through the Arun valley. Besides which, it disrupts watermeadows of great importance to wintering wildfowl. Road "improvements" like this only ever serve to increase road traffic, quite the opposite of what is needed to address climate change.

I object to this proposal. The damage caused by this infrastructure project will be disproportionate to the benefits. Habitat and green space loss is something we can't afford. H

Expensive, destructive project in current climate and financial circumstances.

I strongly object to the desecration of the country side if the bypass goes ahead plus the devastating effect to wildlife.
