Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

The Arundel Alternative is the only way to keep our countryside and solve the traffic conditions.

Please, please do not destroy this area of outstanding beauty. It brings so much pleasure to the people of this area, and the wildlife would be totally destroyed. There is more to this world than money, we need to leave places for our grandchildren to enjoy, but at the rate we are destroying the countryside there will be very little left for them to enjoy.

Dont do it

Do not split up the countryside and communities. This causes long term social damage.

The erosion of our natural environment by road building is part of the country’s idea environmental crisis. The environmental impacts of proposals such as these are tooo often underestimated.

The Arundel Alternative has long been my personal option. It is cheaper, has less impact on the environment and of the setting of the town, of the SDNP and of the ecology and visual beauty of the Arun Valley.

Appalled. In disbelief. In shock. Option 5A wantonly destroys what must be preserved for all our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

I agree with the Arundel Alternative. Slower speeds allow traffic to flow rather than create the concertina effects experienced on fast dual carriageways and motorways. Highway Planners - please be intelligent in your decision making process.

Do not build this road. England is already too developed. Keep it as is.

Arundel's countryside is beautiful and unique. It would be a pity to see it destroyed for unnecessary road widenings and new roads

formerly from the pet shop in Tarrant st. Arundel.should have put the bypass there in the first place in the 1970:s

This new road building is completely contra to what should be happening. Instead of the road, public transport should be enhanced and cheap, driving discouraged, wildlife saved & coutryside preserved - for the future of us all and our descendants.

Protect this beautiful precious place.

This is a beautiful part of the country which I lived/worked in many moons ago for a short while. The thought of this tranquil place being destroyed is quite heartbreaking. Please leave parts of the UK untouched by unnecessary man made destruction. We need it more now than ever.

Stop taking away our oxygen .... litterally! You will destroy the planet if you keep going like this!

Criminal

A short bypass with well designed junctions close to Arundel is all that is needed to prevent queuing traffic. The dual carriageway options away from Arundel damage the communities that they pass through, destroy habitats for wild life, and prevent the enjoyment of the countryside for those who are out walking or cycling along the country lanes.

England has enough roads. Don't destroy nature
