Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

I wholeheartedly agree with all the reasons given for rejecting this awful plan. The main reason we come to this area is for the birds, butterflies and other wildlife so anything that affects that means we would choose alternative places to visit and stay. Climate change and wildlife diversity is the most pressing concern facing us and every possible step to mitigate it should be taken

I am against the building of this road because of the destruction of wildlife habitat, enormous expense, negative impact on climate change, and damage to the landscape.

Spending tax payers money on destroying ancient, irreplaceable habitat once again for completely unnecessary vanity projects. I hope to one day visit and see the Purple Emporer butterfly

Why have a public consultation if the concerns are ignored?

Enough needless destruction just to save minutes on journeys. Too like the HS2 debacle. Just rip up the money woukd be cheaper

This road building plan has ignored the wishes of the community. It is undemocratic. It will add to climate change. Stop this plan.

This is such a special and diverse environment.. do not destroy it

Why are the public never listened to by the people we elect.... 7% is not a majority.

Enough with destroying our nature for greed.

All the destruction for the sake of 10 minute saving in journey time is disgusting.

While the A27 is a nightmare in places, ruination of our environment and heritage MUST NOT be an easy option, readily adopted by people temporarily in a position to make these irreversible decisions that they will not have to answer to in later years. It is happening like this all over our beuatiful land and MUST be stopped. Please be big enough to see the errors and make a memorable stand against destruction of the countryside.

The 'Grey' Highways chosen route is inappropriate for the area, damaging the environment and wild life and destroying personal lives and communities. A totally divisive plan which is the last thing needed in todays world. Additionally the cost of the 'Grey' route simply makes no commercial sense and does not have the backing of the local community who must be listened to as this is where they live and mostly where they work. The northern 'Arundel alternative' route is far more appropriate and very much cheaper on the public purse. With the cost of Covid-19 weighing heavily on the the economy this is no time for minority idealism to be forced on communities.

Folly. Stop the road building and to the alternatives - from public transport to autonomous pods - and reducing the need to travel in the first place by better planning control.

A proposal with complete disregard for the government commitments to reducing carbon emission, through encouraging car use, massive unnecessary construction works, and obliteration of delicate biodiversity. This must surely be considered a misappropriation of public funds by a Government department.

Please have pity on the habitats and creatures whose lives you are destroying when there is another kinder more humane way to manage the situation. Please consider the Arundel Alternative. Thank you.

Don’t ruin our countryside we need our wildlife not another dangerous road

Arundel alternative please, no more destruction of our countryside, soon it will be all gone, there will be no going back. Think about your children, they need fresh air, trees, wildlife, and a place to enjoy and leave unspoilt for their children to enjoy, and so it goes on. Something has to change before it's too late.

I fully support the Arundel alternative and reject the current proposal for the reasons outlined in the petition
