Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Protect our natural beauty!

We have been warned about the effects of an insect catastrophe and how it inter relates with everything up the food chain. This Government MUST listen and MUST stop this meaningless road! How does this fit in with being 'Green' and reducing carbon footprints? It does not.

Stop building roads.

See some sense and take another look at what you’re doing. Riding rough shod over every thing seems to be what happens . Why spend all that money on an enquiry?

This rich, glorious countryside should be part of the SDNP already, but is threatened by an unnecessary new road scheme that also severely damages communities for a hugely damaging road to stimulate developer profits. A much cheaper road adjustment would satisfy any traffic issues. This road is intended to encourage both additional road traffic when we need to be discouraging road traffic (from whatever fuel sources) if we are to respond to the climate emergency.

Gateway to the South Downs national Park and an area of ancient woodland that needs protection

Another joke decision from those in power set to cream off lots of dosh in tax payers money. And those in power wonder why the public have no faith in the planners, councils and politicians anymore. Its stupid, expensive schemes like this that destroy wild places during a time when the environment needs to be put first that results in this. But no doubt some business group said its a good idea abd money talks. It always does. Short sighted, pathetic and a symptom of all that is wrong in this country. We are led by idiot's. Itsvtime for change!

We need to protect our countryside for all the species that rely on it to live.

Arundel alternative seems like an eminently sensible solution, saves the environment and saves public funds which could be spent elsewhere on resurfacing smaller, potholed roads or improving local public transport.

The bypass would unnecessarily harm a unique section of our countryside. If it goes ahead it would defeat the point of me travelling to the area as a tourist and I would holiday elsewhere.

Disgusting that this is even being considered! Where is the green recovery ?

Please consider the alternative route suggested, as we will otherwise lose he preserved numbers of rare species of butterflies and the overall damage to the countryside will be far too great to validate any potential minor gains from the current proposed grey route.

The need for another road should not take precedence over our natural countryside

We are going into a climate and nature crisis, we need to stop destroying natural landscapes.

It's truly depressing that this monumentally destructive act is even being considered. It must stop.

Another unnecessary bypass that will destroy so much important countryside while wasting millions of pounds of taxpayers money which could help fund the pandemic recovery.
