This is absurd in a climate and cost of living crisis

It's so important to protect wildlife and retain thriving village communities.

Nothing is more important than our wild spaces and heritage. Building a new road is short sighted. Improvements to the existing road network is what's needed. The impact on the local ecology, heritage and quality of life for those living in the area will be simply awful.

We object to the Grey Route and recent ammendments to the Arundel by pass for the following reasons;- 1. It will decimate the village of Walberton causing chaos with increased traffic affecting the village centre and the small roads to the West. 2. It will significantly reduce the amenities for children and adults within the village. 3. It will seriously destroy the countryside to the East of the village and the water meadows containing much wildlife including Newts, bats and rare bird species. 4. It will mean the removal of thousands of trees adding to the global warming through a reduction in CO2 absorption. 5. It will bring traffic increase to the Chichester area where congestion from Fontwell through the Chichester by pass is already a serious problem. 6. It will ruin beautiful matural scenery along the woods and valley to the East of Walberton. 7. It will take up much more countryside than other more acceptable routes. 8. It will increase traffic flows from Bognor, Littlehampton and the South Coast through roads and lanes already over crowded. 9 It is a waste of money when we have more pressing needs particularly the NHS, Social Housing, Schools, Doctors Surgeries etc.

It is inconceivable that in this day and age, with dangerous climate change evident and accelerating, and other environmental destruction, that we should even consider doing this project. We need more GREEN transport, LESS cars ASAP!

Has everyone gone mad? This is ECOCIDE on a gigantic scale - WHERE IS THE LAW TO PREVENT THIS HAPPENING?

More and bigger roads = more cars, more emissions and destruction of wildlife and nature! The bypass is not the answer...! If people want to drive that way, they can just be patient and sit in a traffic jam, or get a train or bus instead.

A ridiculous idea! Save a few minutes around Arundel, ruin so many lives animals and people. Ancient woods destroyed, homes taken down, pollution and quiet villages destroyed! The traffic will only build up at the next section of A27!! Why not make the existing road work better, build a flyover past Arundel where the current road is!

That whole area from Chichester to Worthing needs alternative transport. With all the buildings recently going up a new system other than roads needs money such as bicycle lanes etc. if we do not look to alternative forms of transport and build another road and another leading to more traffic and more traffic jams. This scheme is just a waste of money come on think outside the box for the sake of our environment and world.

We should leave the countryside alone now.In due course driverless electric software will be able to organise traffic using the existing road system.

Please reject the Grey route. If it is allowed to go ahead it will destroy the very heart of the area.

I support the Alternative route, It’s more environmentally friendly, it’s less costly and less disruptive. I reject the Grey Route as it’s damaging to the environment wildlife, surrounding villages, and way too costly.

The grey route would destroy to much of rural communities , wild life and environment. Other options should be properly investigated.
