Enough is enough!... we shouldn't be making life easier for cars. We have to protect the countryside and our villages else we lose what is quintessentially British.. ..we have lost so much. No need for a bypass

The proposed grey route is the most disruptive and expensive. How the highways have made this decision smacks of interference by parties of other interest. This route was the least popular so national highways have ridden roughshod over the wishes of the local population

I live near the village school and am very concerned about how close the road is scheduled to go near to 5he school, both for pollution and the danger aspect

This exacerbates climate change by encouraging road use. It is also so environmentally damaging. Choose the Arundel Alternative instead.

Why choose the longest most destructive and technical challenging route which will become the most expensive route. Exceeding all estimates

No way should these villages ruined to avoid an alternative route through land which hardly anybody sees or uses.

Although I now live in Wales I was brought up and lived in West Sussex for the first 50 years of my life and the blatant disregard for the enviroment and the onslaught of housing and road growth in the area was one of the main reasons for our move to Wales. My sister and her family still live here and will be directly affected by this Grey route bypass so this is the reason why I wish to add my name to the partition. I think the road planners have gone completely bonkers, this road will completely destroy the character of this area, all I can say is that the planners must have sawdust for brains, and all for what, so that mindless motorists can cut their journeys by 10 minutes. I’m fully behind you in your campaign.

Appalling decision to proceed with the Grey route given the proximity to schools and day nurseries. No regard to the public vote and a tragic loss of green land. We are in the midst of a climate emergency so what is needed is a better public transport system to take cars off the road, not more road building. We need to stand up to developers and the government who, despite everything happening in the world, still value GDP over everything else.

As a life long Conservative, I resigned my membership over this matter. More empty promises by a government who say they want to protect the planet but will destroy the countryside when it suits to save 7 minutes on pre-COVID rush hour journey. The ministers should come to Essex where you’ll normally sit in up to 20-30 mins of traffic during rush hour!

The bypass must not be allowed to happen, it will destroy ancient woodland and devastate Sussex villages.

Reasons as before in previous petition...please do not ravage this beautiful area ... With the current excessive new building being done in nearby villages and the proposal for recycling center at Ford you are threatening to completely destroy the whole area of these villages ?? THERE ARE BETTER CHOICES FOR THIS ROUTE !!
