Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

We don't need new roads, we need nature to combat the climate crisis,

We need to protect the countryside and wildlife in it not destroy it for roads!

Hands off our natural spaces National Highways. Come up with an alternative transport plan not more car dependency, Dept. for Transport.

I live miles away from this proposed route for the A27 but having witnessed how destructive such plans on rural communities and our countryside can be I deeply oppose any more road expansions. On the Romney Marsh where I live the A2070 now divides many of the communities and wildlife here and it seems that even an SSI is not protected by the laws of protection it has been granted. It seems to me an SSI protection status is now about as valuable as used toilet paper. In a world where climate change is a reality, biodiversity is being lost and pollution is increasing when are we going to stop neing concerned with being concerned and actually protect these areas for future generations and uphold the protection status these places deserve. Stop the concrete, tarmac and endless so called improvements which only tend to serve commuters and give us back a world and a future we can be proud to give to the children of the future. We need to learn how to live simply so all may simply live.

Pls do not desecrate the beautiful countryside around Arundel.

Why are our wildlife areas being turned into more housing estates when there are endless opportunities in to redevelop and revitalise areas of north England for the people living wirh highest unemployment figures whoneed this type of input to the region.

Quite clearly this route is NOT the best option but IS the most ruinous for villages like Binsted and Walberton. Think again Highways England, Arun Council AND this Government.

Waste of money and ruining beautiful countryside for the sake of saving 5 minutes on your journey, just wrong.

Consider the other options properly. Fix the full local infrastructure, provide better integrated public transport. Stop building houses which are unsupported by inadequate drainage, inadequate schools, inadequate doctors and dentist provision. Think about the environment you are destroying. Please.

This is a totally unwanted solution to a traffic management issue. It is environmentally and socially destructive and flies in the face of the Governments targets to reduce the use of fossil fuels. We all need to alleviate congestion be using cleaner fuels and smaller vehicles, not increasing road space

This proposed bypass , Grey route , has not been thought through . The residents concerns , are all valid and very relevant , and should not be dismissed out of hand . The proposed grey route is totally unacceptable The Arundel alternative , is less disruptive , and is by far the more suitable option .
