The grey route simply does not make sense and fails to address most if not all public concerns and wishes. As such it is totally incomplete.

The grey route is destructive an unnecessary. The Arundel alternative would work well, cost a lot less and protect the environment.

I support the arundel alternative. The grey route will be disastrous for our countryside and the effects will be permanent. It would completely change a perfect landscape enjoyed by so many to gain so little.

I do not understand why the alternative route was not chosen in the first place. The ‘Grey Route’ will be a damaging ‘Blot on the Landscape’

Of the routes offered this was rejected due to the environmental damage, ludicrous cost and totally unnecessary need. Stop the A27 ByPass.

No justification for expense and destruction of Grey route when Arundel alternative rejoins a serviceable portion of A27 avoiding 5 villages.

This scheme is the most expensive and the most destructive to the whole of the beautiful Arun valley and all the villages and environment in its path.

The grey route costs are spirraling out of control. It will cut in half THREE villages. It will give rise to increased pollution and noise right next to a village, primary school and hotel

Totally inappropriate. Will wreck Walberton with huge increase in traffic on already overloaded Tye Lane and The Street. Time saved with bypass will be lost by even longer hold ups at Chichester and Worthing

I’m against the bypass as it will destroy the countryside, and is far too expensive just to save 8 minutes of journey time. Ludicrous.

A saving of 6-9 mins journey time in rush-hour (and less outside it) does not warrant this huge bill, especially when travellers are then faced with huge hold-ups in Worthing and Chichester. The whole of the A27 east/west needs attention, not just one short stretch.
Am concerned that open land between the old A27 and new Arundel bypass will become developed thus adding to congestion in this part of West Sussex
