Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

This scheme should not go ahead. We need to protect and save our wildlife and there habitats and preserve our communities.

Why the longer and more costly route was decided upon doesn’t make any sense. It’s carving up much more and important land than need be. Do the short route and soon!

This will replace the road that already a bypass

No bypass, protect nature

Thin the whole proposal is ill thought out and no consideration appears to have been given to wildlife or the veteran trees in the woodland.

No more roads especially through such precious natural heritage.

Please consider the alternative 40mph option between crossbush and Ford roundabout. Roads that destroy wildlife benefit noone in the longterm.

Please please stop all plans for the Arundle bypass!

I strongly object to the proposed Arundel bypass. We need to spend those millions on improving public transport for all and not on developing road networks in the area.

When will we stop destroying what is truly precious, truly valuable and completely irreplaceable?

A less damaging option must be found

Please DON'T destroy anymore of Sussex. The bypass will rip up vital habitat for wildlife AND people. We have lived with the traffic for years, park and ride might be a solution to some of the problems of traffic into Arundel, leaving it for through traffic. Neverending building is causing the increase, we are full up, ho somewhere else! The 9million could be spent on improving infrastructure and existing roads. Such a short stretch of road causing so much devastation is NOT wanted.

This would be an appalling assault on our countryside.

This road, if it goes ahead, will be a disaster for nature. It will cause more air pollution and endanger rare bats, dormice and cause damage to much needed woodland. The cost of this project would be better spent on sustainable transport.

I object to the route because it both fractures valuable, rare habitats (dormice) and is environmentally damaging due to the increased emissions which will result.

The Arundel alternative is much more Eco Friendly, and less expensive.

More roads just means more cars. We must find a way to persuade people to use their cars less, rather than destroying countryside to build more and bigger roads.

Too big, too expensive, and too damaging to wildlife and the local human population. Must not be allowed to happen. It could be smaller, cheaper and far less damaging. T I strongly object.

The gain is too small. The losses too great

Protect wildlife. Informed decisions require proper survey work.
