Stop the Arundel Bypass - Save Arundel's Countryside

Don't do this. Once it's gone, it can never come back!

This bypass will be too destructive to the natural environment

We must prevail. Anyone remember COP26? Or the unmitigated disaster of HS2?

The Grey route will ruin several villages and the surrounding countryside

Far too damaging to the environment and flies in the face of climate change.

Solving one traffic problem only creates new challenges elsewhere. We need to incentivise motorists to drive less and appreciate our priceless rural environment more.

No. More. Roads!

The local community don't want this scheme, it will cause irreversible loss of wildlife habitat and climate change will require a reduction in road use.

A new road that will sever critical wildlife corridors and degrade important woodland is not wanted or needed. Irreplaceable veteran trees, Hazel Dormice and the rare Alcathoe Bat will all be directly impacted by the proposals. I agree that there are congestion issues around Arundel, but spending hundreds of millions of pounds to save just 9.3 minutes of travel time is not the solution. Instead we have always favoured a smaller intervention, along with far more investment into integrated sustainable travel options.

We must stop carving up our precious countryside for the sake of saving 9 minutes of travel time

A historic area with important wild life and a lovely wood would be devastated for ever if the scheme goes through.

i reject this option grey,arundel does not need a by pass,what are you going to do with the time saved,this is awful

I would like this to be saved for the countryside to flourish and for visitors to come to the diminishing countryside. There is too much of carving up the green fields already and the wildlife is suffering terribly.

Progress is seen in protection of our environment. Don’t move backwards.

Please stop this terrible destruction of the Sussex landscape and ecosystem, the damage would be irreversible and the benefits to the economy aren’t proven. But this is too high a price as our local ecosystem can never be replaced.

It's a horrible, short-sighted proposal, that only cares about making money for those proposing, those pushing it and the contractors. No decent are for nature is being considered.

Dubious and temporary benefit for certain permanent environmental harm. No thanks!

It’s ridiculous spending all that money & destroying woodland & wildlife habitat to save a few minutes travel time. The traffic will bottleneck further along the A27.
