To the Citizens of Charlotte County,
Last year, the membership of the Punta Gorda Tea Party prioritized replacing County Administrator Raymond Sandrock as one of its three areas of focus for local issues.
The Punta Gorda Tea Party has spent much time over the past year working on an indictment against Mr. Sandrock. Several major areas of malfeasance have come to light including:
• The environmental disaster at Sunshine Lake, with subsequent delays and extensive cost overruns that leave unnecessary tax burdens on the citizens of Charlotte County.
• The potential exposure to the Charlotte County Taxpayers due to the environmental hazards at Sunshine Lake and Sunrise Waterway.
• Failure to act on correction of the problems at Sunshine Lake as early as 2010.
• The handling of Charlotte County Sewer systems in Parkside, failure to address the location of the point source of the pollution, and the failure to coordinate with the health department with failed smoke tests.
Several projects including future Parkside development are in various stages of planning that require a higher level of competence than our current administrator can provide. In light of the losses of recent lawsuits potentially near $100 million with other pending lawsuits makes finding a more experienced Administrator imperative.
Therefore, the Punta Gorda Tea Party takes a unified stance to have Charlotte County Administrator Raymond Sandrock removed from his position and strongly believes that his replacement should be someone with a strong administrative background.
In listening to your requests, we now ask that in return you sign and gather signatures for our petition to replace Mr. Sandrock.

I started this because I was frustrated by the situation at Sunshine Lake but I never imagined so many of you felt the same way. It is humbling to see these concerns being taken seriously by people who actually live here. This momentum belongs to all of you.

Part of private or public service is about performance. When I claim to possess skills and talents for an area of what I call my job, I know that I'm expected to show aptitude and competence. These issues brought forth by PGTP showing that Mr. Sandrock has failed in showing either, is enough! We need aptitude, not ineptitude.
CC has been costing the taxpayers alot of unecessary money, Murdock Village, sidewalks to nowhere, that stupid access rode with circles of bricks that is only for about 4 blocks on one side of the road......now they are zero-ing on bike shops......they don't build businesses but destroy them.....
Stewardship of waterways and waste water is the lifeblood of this area. How can anyone fail this?!!
Completely unacceptable that this County Administrator along with a few other County officials totally mishandled, mismanaged, with gross negligence, inactions, repeatedly dropped the ball on what is now a horrific environmental disaster that could have been totally avoided and averted if the Administrator had od done his job. The continuing screw ups, ass backwards dredge, screwed up Contract, 'point sources' of contamination not located, etc etc is all unacceptable and disgraceful.
Years of mismanagement have thrust Charlotte County to become the sixth highest taxed county in the state - and the current administration is posturing ot become number 1.
He needs to go.

On Jan 17 Bill Bigelow sent an email to the Commissioners that made a very strong case against Sandrock. About a week ago, I asked a Commissioner for any written response to Bigelow's facts and arguments; I've received no response from the Commissioner.
