This petition is to reduce the amount of cigarette litter in our local areas. For the past several years, the amount of cigarette litter has increased dramatically. This increase has created many problems for our community, people, and environment. Cigarettes that have been littered on the ground create a series of problems. First, they provide a dangerous choking hazard to children and small animals. Secondly, they produce pollution for many hours after they have been thrown on the ground. They also create a dangerous fire hazard. Over one million fires in the U.S are because of cigarettes. So please sign this petition so we can start to make a difference to this dangerous and deadly problem we are faced with.
