A Regional Aquatic Center for Snoqualmie Valley: It's time for Si View, Snoqualmie, and SVSD to work together!

It’s time we work together to get a new pool. Who knows maybe Mt. Si will have a high school swim team?

Si View advertised one goal but really had a lot more in mind. No more bait and switch!

A financially responsible, shared project with Si View seems like a good way to go. Would love to understand why Snoqualmie and Si View are not partnering to come up with a joint facility.

Would include Si View, City of North Bend, City of Snoqualmie, Snoqualmie Valley School District, Snoqualmie Hospital, Snoqualmie Tribe and local Physical Therapy businesses as these organizations represent the majority of the user groups wanting programs at a new pool.

We need to make sure that it's a regulation size pool so that we can host meets and get money back on.

Please! We need something close to town

I use the Si View pool frequently. We are in desperate need of a replaecment.

At this point it is a safety issue that an area with this many children cannot find a place to learn to swim w/o driving at least 20 mins outside of town.

Voters, including me, have said no enough times, time to either forget about a Snoqualmie pool or do it as a regional collaboration.

I have grandkids who need a good facility to learn how to swim.

This is a great point, Vicki, and a problem area we ran up against in the past. Si View, as a small special purpose district, is actually not allowed by law in the state of Washington to collect impact fees, the primary way developers provide mitigation for population growth. Partnership with other municipalities who do collect impact fees would provide a possible way to access that funding.

I highly oppose a pool at the YMCA with a membership base use funded with our tax dollars.

The developers of new neighborhoods, who profit greatly from their developments, need to be required to provide amenities so the financial burden doesn’t fall on previously existing neighborhoods.

Yeah yeah yeah. It’s about time. Yeah for co operation.

With the growth of both snoqualmie and north bemd there is a need to have an accessible pool without haveing to travel to issaquah. The facts are the community is growing people don't like that and I get it being a lifer of north bend too but this really needs to happen sooner or later and the longer we wait it will just get more expensive for everyone.

We have a high school swim & dive team but no pool. The kids freeze during meets at TPC, shaking with blue lips lined up for their event. Our family moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in 2005 excited for the plan for a public 25 yard pool for swim team and lap swimming.
