This pool is badly needed. The high school swim team is constantly struggling to find a place to practice and hold meets. Outdoor pools will not cut it.

Water safety for all should be a priority for all kids in the valley. It’s not a sport but rather a priority for our community. Of course I’m biased, since my son swims on the Mt Si boys swim and dive team but that being said the equity factor plays in her too since we don’t belong to the country club. Cards are stacked against kids in our district which is a shame. Not to mention our sport teams have no transportation to practices. Right now we are using the Newport Yacht club which is a distance!

My son attends Mt Si High school and it is terribly difficult for him and the swim team to practice. This year they were made to swim outdoors with temps in the 30s and at numerous locations across the Eastside each week... it was a nightmare and strikes me as odd considering the affluence and size of the population.

A common pool for both communities is best for all. Snoqualmie YMCA is too expensive.

This household fully supports a new pool.

I believe that this is the best option for our communities to share the cost of a pool and to have a standalone, shared aquatics center in a new site. And to build programming for both children and adults.

I really have a hard time with the short-sighted people who don't see the value of an appropriate swimming center for our community. I do think it's reasonable for it to be pay for use, but can't be tied to YMCA membership. We need: * Public swim times * Decent showers and changing areas * Competition swimming for high school and club training and competitions * Diving area for high school and club training

Would love a community pool with a children’s area and a lap pool and a spot for swim lessons!

A pool in the Valley that doesn’t meet competition standards is foolish. Swim teams, along with lap swimmers and recreational swimmers should all be accomodated. A dedicated children’s area should be included.

This is how it should be done, a team effort and mindful, not a 32M bill decided by the city and cohorts.
