We come to you in a polite demand of a short distance, reduced speed change and guardrails around the horrendous curves on Earl road.
Earl road is a highly traveled road in Massillon for many of us and many dangers come along with it. The speed limit is 45 mph including around the curves with out consideration, that there are several houses with blinded drive ways. Most of which have children or grandchildren that are typical and non-typical.
There are several establishments in the area including Earl Lake, Amvets, Earl road storage units and the train tracks on one end. There is stop sign almost immediately on the other end of the curves, with just ahead a highly traveled trucking road.
People go well above the speed limit and there have been multiple wreaks over the years. There is three telephone poles in one spot of our drive way.
We think an appropriate reduced speed of 25 mph from the highway to the train tracks is more then fair for a residential area with businesses. We have high hopes that guardrails will be placed around the houses at most risk for not only the residents, but also the people traveling the road.
We are signing this petition to show that we are asking to please make this a high consideration before the winter to months come.

I grew up on that bend and there is a accident every year you think they would do something
Speed limit needs lowered and monitored. I live on Orville Street very near here and people fly by my house at 50 mph and we have small children as do houses around us.
The curves on this road can be dangerous to people who go 45 mph. Parents should feel comfortable having their children play outside and not have to worry about cars !!
It is for the safety of our children & grandchildren...PLEASE SIGN...

As someone who has been on that street, the 45 mph speed limit there is way too fast. Even if you're in a hurry, 35 is literally pushing it. Meanwhile, the nearby 17th Street has a speed limit of 25 that is very hard to obey. It makes no sense for Earl to be 45 mph.
