This petition opposes a move by the department of Culture, Film and Media at the University of Nottingham to alter the marking process for a module assessment after it had taken place. It was outlined to us in the assignment description on 5 March 2013 that '10% of your mark for the module [will be] based on the presentation and 30% self-allocated, based on participation'. This assignment description and marking process was published two months before the assessment date, and as a result every group's work was entirely geared towards such objectives. We therefore see this decision to retrospectively alter the marking process as unprofessional and unfair.
