I am heartbroken that we are losing a valued and loved Lifestyle Director. She was a light in our lives that cannot be replaced with such grace and competence.

Katherine is extraordinary and I want to be part of the process to keep her here at Anthem in a senior position. She is welcoming and always has a smile on her beautiful face. We are a "lifestyle community" and she embodies a fun, accessible community.

CCMC many now recognize that Katherine Erstad must be reinstated, with a salary increase, an apology offered and perhaps dismissing others responsible for this debacle. Kathryn should be considered for the executive position at Anthem. Her qualifications allow her persona to grow, with any position offered. Our community recognizes the outstanding gifts of her presence, position and sincerity of her work ethic!!!

Katherine was the welcoming face of Anthem Ranch when we moved here during the early days of the pandemic. She has always gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome while thinking outside the box to provide all kinds of activities and initiatives, including establishing the composting program, which was no small feat. Simply said, she is irreplaceable.

Katherine has done a great job. I think we need/deserve to understand the details. We expect transparency from both CCMC and the BOD.

It would be helpful to understand the specific events that contributed to the decision of our highly valued Lifestyle Director, Katherine, to leave our community. I fully support the the potential to re-hire Katherine and…consider giving her an opportunity to self discover how she can maximize her potential in serving our beloved Anthem Community.

Katherine has done a great job. Pleasant to talk to and she has always listened to suggestions. We are losing a wonderful employee. Hope the situation can be resolved.

What can we do to keep Katherine? She is an integral part of Anthem Ranch, the light behind the success of our activities, always smiling, helpful, productive, and capable. We need to improve the moral of our staff, stop them from leaving in droves, and act as a unified body to support the staff's often unappreciated efforts.

If the Board President, serving as the BoD’s single point of contact with CCMC knew about the Katherine situation months ago, but didn’t keep the entire Board appraised, she should be removed from that position.

Reading through all the comments, I agree and wholeheartedly support all the positive attributes and contributions described that Katherine possesses and has exhibited on behalf of the Anthem Ranch resident population! She is truly an exceptional and outstanding performer who should be recognized as such. From attendance at multiple Board of Directors meetings, it was stated that the CCMC contract was re-awarded, on at least one occasion, on a sole source basis. From my experience, awarding contacts on this basis can foster a too cozy relationship that results in poor and lackadaisical performance. I fully support a competitive bid process at the end of the current CCMC contract. Who knows, we may find the current contract is cost and performance competitive. But there's only one way to make that determination.

I am concerned and want to understand why a highly respected employee is leaving our community. Are there issues with the CCMC ?

I think our BOD needs to benchmark against the best practices of other communities. To include how our quarterly assessments stack up to others. I know the BOD doesn't want to raise our fees, but I think we are probably paying less that other superior communities.

Katherine is probably the most organized and friendly supervisor that we have ever had and without her guidance, we are losing a most important member of this community.

Anthem Ranch will not be the premier community it has been without the talents of Katherine. There is no other community in our area with the number of clubs, events and activities as Anthem Ranch and this can all be attributed to Katherine's efforts!

Katherine has always presented herself to be a first class person and CCMC employee. She is professional, knowledgeable, businesslike, and treats everyone with respect…and with a smile. She is an asset to our community. On a separate but related note, I have observed, firsthand, there are times the leadership of the BOD and CCMC treats resident(s) with disrespect, condescension, and disparagement. This is an ARCA management issue that is deserving of attention and adjustment of attitudes.

Had Anthem's HOA board members been awake and not asleep, they would know that Katherine needed help in her expanded role to us Antehm Residents. It is my hope this travesty can be corrected and Katherine stays with a new staff member to help her. There are no other options, as she is the heart and soul of Anthem Ranch.
