The proposed 13.8% Property Tax Increase would raise taxes on the average Franklin County home (valued at $180,529) by $216/year.
The proposed Franklin County tax increase is 600% higher than the annual rate of growth for the US Economy.

Please do not raise our real estate taxes! Anything above inflation is unconscionable!

I moved my family from wake to Franklin county because of a lower cost of living. With this extreme increase I am offended. I would have never moved to a community with a .99 tax rate. I think this will drastically hurt the growth of the county and thus hurt revenues.

We need to be lowering the cost of living in Franklin county. ....not increasing it! No incentives for people to move here. ...less money for the county! Look at the counties around us. ....so much cheaper for everything, and better quality roads and towns!

This is ridiculous- The citizens of Fraanklin Co. cannot afford higher taxes.

Many voters will watching and listening for input and vote on a more conservative consideration of a balanced budget that does not increase the current tax rate(s). As always, I feel that any household budget that does not spend more than it takes in should be used as an example for ANY government entity.

I will vote against any commissioner that supports the increase in taxes. This is unacceptable. Higher taxes will only cause the county to reduce its revenue in the long run, as business and people will avoid and leave the county.

As far as I know, they are considering no cuts in spending at all. Just "cuts in requested department increase requests". That is ridiculous!

This increase is absurd. We already pay a higher rate than Wake county.
