We have trouble paying our taxes now. We do not need an increase. We have a daughter that will not move back to Franklin Co. because of the TAX RATE! My husband and I were born and raised in Franklin County. We would love to live here with affordable taxes.

I have two adult children who can get no help with insurance or such and I am a double amputee who gets nothing from this county and you want to increase property taxes are you nuts?

13.8% increase of any kind any is outrageous, unacceptable and unjustified. Our county leaders need to come down to earth and be realistic.

If Franklin county wants to grow a tax base, then keeping the taxes low to entice home building and businesses will get the job done. Look to development not taxation.

We're already paying more than most other counties in NC! Another raise is uneccessary and only going to burden the people that live in and support this county!

Just purchased a home here. Maybe I should have thought twice. I also noticed a lot of home being purchased in Franklin Co. You will run off potential buyers if this keeps up. If this increase goes through, I better be spent on improving the public schools around here because they rank so low. It also needs to be used on more and better training for law enforcement. There are areas that need improvement here, but Franklin Conhas been known to waste tax payer money. So, sorry if we don't trust you.

Our taxes are high enough and in some cases much too high. No more increases in taxes without and benefits being shown except for the elite few.

I moved here just a year and a half ago just to get away from the high property taxes. I love this county and do not want to see the taxes rise!!!
