A New Dress Code At Manning

Hi! Ok. So I signed up last year. And now that i look at it, I shouldn't have. Yes I think that the dress code is aiming more towards the girls, but that is there to keep us safe and make sure we are not bullied. That is just my opinion. Thank you.

I agree completely! Students (especially girls) shouldn't have to a lot of thought into what to wear to school. It should be something where you can wear what you want and express yourself the way you want. It is completely and utterly selfish for the school district to force this upon us! Its about time we take a stand!

The Dress Code should definataley change. I personally have not gotten dress coded because all of the clothes that i wear are plenty long. But I have seen many girls get dress coded because those are the only shorts they could find.

I believe that the dress code is very unfair and strongly angled towards girls. For this reason, I believe it should change.

I agree that the Manning dress code should change, I'm obviously not a girl but that does not mean I think the dress code at Manning should be changed. I have a sister who attended Manning and is now curently at Lakewod high and she was never a fan of the dress code.

I think that this is a good message and that the dress code should be changed.

Thanks, Lorena for making this! I feel it is important for kids to feel safe at school. People should be able to wear what they would like. And I agree with the fact that it is kinda difficult to find long shorts that are comfortable.

Thank you! I was recently shopping and could not find shorts that were long enough! Also, one of my friends was asked TWICE by staff if she was wearing shorts under her sweatshirt!

I think Manning should take away the dress code for good. It is so hard to find things to wear every morning especially since I am fully in person now. I hope we can all take a stand and get rid of the dress code.

I had so much trouble finding shorts at the start of the year and, shirts that were long enough. All of the boys clothing is already long enough so the girls have a large limit on their clothing choices. I feel that we shouldn't wear clothing with bad words on them but I agree that we should have more freedom in our clothing.

The dress code is a little too strict, of course we can't just wear bras and show our underwear but we should be able to show our shoulders and much more.
