Grassroots football is no longer played on ploughed fields with jumpers for goalposts. Community clubs require community based facilities and local councils must support it.

Give these kids somewhere to play football for a number of reasons, its exercise, friend making, team building and much more skills they can take forward as they are growing up. Stop taking grounds away from these groups.

Surely the council must see this as the right thing to do for the community? What's the alternative...let it rot like the old temple park playground? The children have a base here and frankly it's not the councillors that are stood there three times a week, sometimes more, watching the kids train and learn new skills. This is for the community...give the kids a place to call their footballing home.

My grandson and now my great grandson have both played for Whiteleas. Great club, they really deserve to have their own base

We have train and played on this pitch for a couple of years and no one goes on it so it would be great if we got the opportunity to get it.plus my team consists of 16great kids
