The North Carolina Laws on Child support are long overdue for change. These laws are particularly harsh on active Father's who are in their Children's lives. Active Father's deserve just as many rights as active Mothers. Child support is forcing fathers into poverty and mental anguish. Financial responsibility should rely on both Parents and not soley on Father, especially when said Mother is fully capable, yet chooses not to financially provide for Children. It's time we make changes for Father's in the State of North Carolina.
The stories pouring into my inbox are gut-wrenching and prove that the North Carolina court system is intentionally leaving fathers in the dust. I am working behind the scenes to get these accounts in front of people who can actually force a shift in this broken policy. We are not backing down until the state stops treating capable parents like disposable ATMs.

My husband works so hard and barely sees a dime of his own check after all these payments. It is just not right.

SO TRUE. Dads need better representation in court. Tired of being treated like a paycheck and not a parent.

The system is totally broken. Been paying for years while she works under the table and hides money. Needs to change now.

I'm signing this for my brothers because I know they're active and they don't deserve to be wrung out of every last cent they earn to take care of their children. When the mother is fully capable yet completely unwilling to take care them financially in any way. What's fair is fair, and this--North Carolina is not fair!

Every situation is different but it should be equal responsibility ,the father should support his children the same the mother does
