As a member of the Tippecanoe Board, I believe this to be a foolish decision. In the 10+ years since Scott has taken over camp, things have greatly improved. I strongly encourage the YMCA to reconsider this decision.

Unlike most of us, you guys did not know camp existed until 10 years ago. You guys have done so much in those ten years to bring Tip to where it is that I swear you guys grew up with this place. Whatever happens, thank you so much!

Scott and Carrie have been such a force at Camp Tippecanoe! I was there as a camper in the 70's and then a ranch camp counselor in the 80's. I've recently been reunited with Tippecanoe all because of Scott and Carrie! I'm the head coach of the varsity Dartmouth College Equestrian Team and it all started at Camp Tippecanoe!

The Weigleys have been the most positive force at the Camp in Tippecanoe I have ever encountered. They are highly trained and totally competent to fullfill the duties expected of them. Scott and Carrie do not think of Camp as a job but, a lifestyle. They are and have been a positive force in helping to enrich and inspire the lives of the future generations of leaders that occupy camp each year and beyond camp. I can not think of a more dedicated couple in caring about our children's futures and goals. It would be a sad travisty of wasted talent and resources to remove these dedicated directors from Camp Tippecanoe.

My son has been a camper for the past two years under Scott and Carrie and he loved his experience so much, he asked to go for two weeks this year. Although I know there have been many directors over the years, I can say that Scott and Carrie have done an amazing job. I worked there for a summer in 1994 and was simply amazed at the transformation to update the camp and the traditions that have continued on. I believe that Scott and Carrie truly believe in the camp and the camp experience and am confused why you would want to take that away from the all around experience for the kids.

Scott and Carrie truly make kids feel like they are part of a family. Tippecanoe helped me to come out of my shell and gave me friendships that will last a lifetime. Scott and Carrie live the I Am Third Rule and do everything they can to make every child feel welcome at camp

I have had the pleasure of working at camp Tippecanoe for 2 summers. As I am from Scotland, travelling to and working for camp is more of an expense for me than a way to earn, and for that reason I had only intended on going to camp for one summer for the "camp experience". However, that first summer was unlike anything I had ever experienced: the heart and soul of camp drew me in. I knew I had to go back. That was down to Scott and Carrie. They showed me the difference between being a boss and being a leader, and leaders they are! Their love and enthusiasm for camp, campers and counsellors could be felt by everyone. Sadly, I cannot work at camp this summer however I always had the intention of going back to volunteer. To me, camp isn't the place, it's the connections. Without Scott and Carrie? It just wouldn't be the same.

I had had bad experiences with other camps before I first went to Tippecanoe. The way they ran the camp and the way they trained their staff made me love being there more than anywhere I had ever been. I loved having the opportunity to work for them at the camp and I couldn't see anyone else doing a better job than they do everyday.
