Rene was the person that got me back into tennis after 14 years and his example got me to join the club. Since I started working in DC, I have considered joining another club. I stayed with Woodlake because of Rene. If he doesn't come back, I will most likely join a northern VA club.

Rene taught me as to play tennis as adult and fostered my love of tennis. His brings a mix of patience and a wonderful sense of humor to each lesson. He is a most valuable asset to the Woodlake community and it would be a huge loss to lose him!

All my tennis skills, both physical and mental has been, and still are shaped by Rene. He introduced me to Woodlake Tennis Community. For us, Rene is more than just a great tennis pro. He is the glue who holds this community together. For us, tennis at Woodlake = Rene.

It is not hard to see that we all love Rene. If anyone has a brain at the WCA you would know letting him go would be a huge mistake.

One of the most pleasant, humble, caring and talented tennis directors Woodlake Tennis has ever had. A true leader.

The WCA Board represents the wishes of the residents of the community. They should act to reinstate Rene and give him the support that he has not received since being named Tennis Director. And the WSRC tennis membership has no desire for reciprocal arrangements with MTC!

If it was not for Rene, I would not have come back to Tennis after a 22 year layoff. 6 years ago, when we joined Woodlake, Rene was the only pro that reached out to me, introduced me to the rest of the Woodlake Community and built back my desire to play tennis once again. I take weekly lessons and clinics with Rene, and he is a professional through and through. Rene is WOODLAKE TENNIS!
