There is no way to carry textbooks and notebooks and whatever else you need to every class without a backpack in just 4 short minutes. This needs to be changed.

I don't have time to stop at my locker during the now-shorter passing time between every class. The policy is ridiculous and has no real benefit to security.

It's going to make to make it harder to carry books, with this ban and shorter passing time it's near impossible to do what's needed.

I will have to go to my locker between classes, which is no easy task, t .get my textbooks and notwbooks for each class, resulting in me being late to class. This no backpack rule, plus the reduced passing time, will increase tardies for many students, especially band students that have to go to the second floor for their next class. I havent used a locker for three years, and now i am being forced to use it against my will.

i currently don't need to use my backpack because its early in the school year and we haven't gotten a lot of stuff so far to carry, but that doesn't mean i won't need it later on, there is no way that i can fit 3-4 notebooks, folders a pack of pencils, highlighters, and markers then squeeze in a 1-4 textbooks and be able to carry that around for the entire day, i also have gym and i don't feel comfortable bringing my bag to gym class and probably not being able to fit it in my small locker, i don't have time to go from one class to my locker to drop my stuff off and or to grab something else, then have to go through the hallway that is known to have a high amount a traffic with also makes it the slowest hallway to use, other students have expensive backpacks that they planned on using but are just going to sit in our lockers collecting dust

I am a single mom of a freshman that attends West High School. That being said I don't have the money to buy a backpack and a draw string bag, and from the talk I surely will not have the money to buy several through the year. Either allow backpacks or extend passing time. My son will not be serving pointless detentions over tardiness due to this issue.

i need more space to carry things (text books, notebooks, pencils, important assignments for class)! a small noodle strapped backpack isn't going to do much. carrying around our regular backpacks shouldn't be an issue.

We were doing just fine caring back packs around and it helps when sometime our locker is on the other half of the school and don't feel like going out of the way just to get a heavy book the we hardly use for most classes

With the jawstring there is just not enough room to Cary my books and clothes to class and not enough time for me to go to my locker cause I'm not good at lockers and I can't be late. My dad gives me lectures about being late.

If you're going to enforce the No Backpack rule, then please extend the passing time. It seems counterproductive to keep the students going to their lockers with an even shorter passing time. Isn't that why they stopped using their lockers in the first place?

This is absurd to ban backpacks. I was able to have one there when I went and we had no problems. If your concern about safety allow clear ones.
