Wendy is the heart and soul of Byte Cafe. A lady who constantly works above and beyond her call of duty. She is a friend to both students and staff.

Wendy is such a lovely ray of Sunshine each day, always friendly and helpful. It'd be an awful loss. Forcing staff / students to leaving the building to get even a simple coffee seems like a huge step backwards

Wendy is brilliant Kilburn is a busy outlet and it supports neither staff or students of IT or Manchester School of Comouting to remove it and a bad impression to visitors to have no facilities.

Having the Byte Cafe in Kilburn is convenient for both students and staff who don't always have the time to go outside the building between lectures and in working hours. Wendy is always courteous and cheerful to her customers, she basically runs that cafe single-handedly and keeps the customer returning. To be without the her or the Byte cafe is unthinkable and would be a loss to the Kilburn Building and the university.

Wendy and Byte Cafe are a part of the school's history and identity. It would be a shame to end their story.

Wendy is a very friendly person and makes everyone who uses the cafe feel very welcome she is a massive asset to kilburn and she is definitely the heart of the build. It would be a huge loss if she were to go!

Wendy is great. If the shop was to close, at least move her to another position on campus. She is a valuable employee.

If Byte Cafe has been accurately identified as financially unsustainable, publish the numbers. I'm pretty sure cafe patrons will come up with ideas to keep it sustainable.

Byte Café is making a profit. FACT. Alison Shedlock is lying if she claims it isn't.

I know the University of Manchester has engaged various commercial actors in the Business School, in Simon building and University Place, which I think we can agree is operating in a different price range than Food on Campus. I would like to raise a concern about the increasing privatization of the University campus. We already lost our Staff Common Room cafe some years ago, and so staff and students have relied on the Byte Cafe for quick and easy supply of beverages, snacks, milk and sandwiches from the Kilburn building and IT building. The area around the Byte Cafe is the only place in the building students can gather for a quick coffee or tea without trekking out and spending a fortune with commercial actors. I know academics and personnel from IT Services are also frequently having meetings with external actors in the Byte Cafe because of its convenience. The Byte Cafe therefore has a great social value for both the School of Computer Science and IT Services. Wendy has always provided great service with a cheerful attitude, and while the quality of the sandwich selection may have been gradually degrading over the years, I think we can hardly fault her for that, as she has always taken pride in preparing paninis properly! I would therefore kindly ask the University to reconsider the plans, and rather consider actions to help keep the Byte Cafe operating successfully.

Wendy is such a ray of sunshine. I believe she is the life and soul of Kilburn. She also makes the best coffees from any café I have ever used both in and out of campus. If Wendy and/or byte café goes, I will simply start bringing in food and drinks from home or shop at Morrisons. I will not use any other FoodOnCampus facility.
