And it's not like they are making cuts/layoffs because they are losing money, it's because they didn't make as much as last quarter!! Are you kidding me, so again someone who has donated her time and blood sweat and tears to this community and to her CTV family is let go because you didn't make as much as last year! Unreal and so disappointing, goes to show why people don't trust or like big companies! Its all about the almighty dollar, not about loyalty, pride or commitment. Bring her back!!!

I have been a faithful viewer of CJOH/CTV News since 1990 every night at 6:00 pm. With the recent passing of Mr. Keeping, it was with great relief that Ms. Meehan would remain on air and report the local news as she continued every day to be the source of my information. I am shocked that Bell Media would lay off such an icon of our community. I will stop watching CTV News until Bell Media re-instate her. BRING HER BACK!!

I am absolutely and unequivocally astounded at Bell Media's decision. My children grew up feeling that Max and Carol Anne were familiar community voices that were highly respected in Ottawa due to their charitable and humanitarian work for those less fortunate along with the feelings of trust and connection they shared with their viewers. This is a huge blow to our sense of community that we get with our news. Besides that, my question to Bell is "this is 2015 - to quote Justin Trudeau and why are women like Carol Anne Carolyn Waldo being targeted in these big media cuts. CTV news will not have this viewer watching anymore if Carole Anne is axed after serving for so long and with so much community passion! It's more than just watching talking heads.

Even though I will miss the rest of the staff on the 6 PM news I will switch to CBC to watch the 6 o'clock news report until Carol Anne has been re-instated!!!!

Every evening my wife and I watch CTV religiously. We have always been proud of the great people who work for the station in Ottawa. Especially, someone as down to earth and caring as Carol Anne. This is a horrible wrong that needs to be righted!!! We miss you and hope they come to their senses soon and beg you to come to back!!!!!

We missed her sooo much when she was off this past summer. With her experience and considering everything she contributes to the community, please reconsider this decision!
