To treat a human being that has served the company for so long like this is utterly disgraceful. I hope that her superiors are let go in exactly the same fashion so they know how it feels. I realize business decisions have to be made but can a public figure like her not leave with their dignity in tack. So they tape a farewell from her and things are said that should not be then edit it or don't air it.

Another fine example of how management treats loyal and dedicated staff. 30 seconds woeks out at about 1 second for each year of service she gave. Even if the cuts were necessary, their execution was inexcusable. Doubtless she'll be replaced with some young piece of eye candy as befits the standard of news at CTV nowadays.

I was sooooo shocked when i heard of this my jaw just dropped. Let me tell you you reep waht you sow ( meaning what goes around comes around) I pray God opens a new door in your life that no man can shut. You are amazing.

It is with great sadness that a company such as Bell Media would get rid of someone so talented, respected and who I looked forward to hearing the news every night from an honest decent reporter
I have cancelled all my bell services and specifically stated for them to take me off of there mailing list.
Nothing but a disgrace for a women who has done so much for her community

I am saddend to hear of Carol Anne being laid off. I am particularly upset at the way Bell Media has treated her in relation to the lay off. It was so disrespectful and done without thinking of her long time commitment and her dignity. I hope Carol Anne does turn to writing as she is a talented lady. Thank You for all your years in television!!!

Carol Anne made the television news very interesting and she should not have been let go. you should try to get her back and let one of the other news castors go instead. I could say a lot more in her support but can't verbalize our feelings at this news. my husband and I are thinking of going back to CBC new and telling all our friends to do the same and boycott CJOH
