I remember when Carol Anne started - she should be anchor not co-anchor. She should have her job back so she ca go find a better one and leave them on her own terms.

CTV needs Carole Anne Meehan. She is a well rounded community person and as a news anchor she is a class act!
Bell Media needs to be faithful to terrific long term employees.

After 25 years, CTV just lost me as a long time viewer. It's more about the "how" than the "what". Shame on CTV for the way they treated Carole Anne and others. Max would never have let that happen. You have many friends and supporters Carole Anne!

Carol Ann was one of the news anchors around when I was growing up, a familiar face in the city and a face to look up to for the cities daily updates. Its a real shame that a company after so much time would remove such a public figure without explicable reason or time for closure.
My wish go out to you Carol Ann, it was just wrong, a shame, and a loss for the entire news program.
But as the good person you are, I am sure you will come out on top of this in a great and new way.

Carol Ann, we are new to Ottawa 35 years ago. You and Max were always a must to hear at supper time. Big businesses have no mercy for employees, profits are necessary for them to be able to pay dividends to the investors. Just a question. We salute you for what you have done for this community. Words do not give you an income. I was a victum like you. Stay strong and another door will open for you. All the BEST !

I started watching you when I was at the end of my teenage years, still living at home with my parents. To see you just disappear all of a sudden is shocking and feels like a betrayal. I'm glad you are finding a way to say goodbye to us, your viewer family. Bell media, shame on you. A little EQ goes a long way. Carol Anne, I look forward to following your next move. Management and HR at Bell Media should be ashamed! While there is a need to terminate employees, the problem here, is the way in which it was done. It could have been "broken" to her and others, "gently." Management could also have let them retire at the end of December and give her and others in radio and television, a chance to say good bye! On the other hand, with such a surplus, they didn't have to let her or others go. This decision was short on thought! Carol Ann and the others whose positions were terminated in the province and in the country, can be proud of their outstanding contribution to journalism, professionalism and their communities. Thanks so much for a job well done! Be proud and be strong! You did nothing wrong! Please don't waste your time in figuring out "the why!" All the best in the future!

Shortly after my son's birth at the former Riverside Hospital's birthing centre, Carol Anne interviewed us at my bedside because my son's dad was 50+. It was such an honour to have met her then just hours after Ryan's birth and to have that announcement televised on the local evening news. My son is now a 21-year-old aspiring musician and song-writer who has performed in many shows around Ottawa including the Bluesfest and MarvFest. I remind Ryan that he was introduced to the world by Carol Anne on her evening newscast. We are so thankful and grateful to have met this dedicated, professional TV anchor and to have tuned in over the years. She deserves better treatment than this dismissal after all these years of dedicated service to our community.

Bell Media you should be ashamed of yourself. Carol Anne was the best anchor you had. You are regressing instead of advancing by replacing a good anchor, a woman by an arrogant man.. Richardson is awful, mean with his colleagues. I have turned off CTV.
