I grew up watching CJOH news with Carol Anne Meehan and Max Keeping. They were the highlight of the news every night at 6 pm. There must be other ways for them to not loose their jobs after 20+ years! This is their career your ending; Not just a job!!! Is the head of Bell Media going to help them financially and start another career, I don't think so! Why doesn't she cut herself too? With all of these cuts combined, she will gain that much more in her salary. So disgusted with this!!!

She deserves her job back, she's a great host and one of the reasons I tune in. It's a discrimination to let go the woman. Keep both anchors on staff!

Carol Anne Meehan has been a part of the CTV Ottawa news family, and part of Ottawa families in general for almost 3 decades. Along with Max Keeping and others, she brought a personal, local touch to the news and made us care for what what happening in the world and in our community. To let her go is to disrespect her long service to CTV and the community. It's also a slap in the face to the community as one of the people we cherish most to provide us with the daily news has been stripped of her job without any notice. Ottawa wants her to stay. My loyalty to CTV Ottawa is in the balance without her on the air.

Bell Media, your decision to axe Carol Anne Meehan from our local news is a tragic one! I sincerely hope that you rethink this decision. She is the face of our local news and the community identifies with her! Max will be rolling over in his grave! You should rethink this decision. I, for one, will be changing the channel if she isn't reinstated!!! Down with your ratings!!

It is a sad moment when a person is shown the door after nearly 30 years. Community leaders and role models are important to us all. Carol Anne is an excellent one and the whole of Ottawa would like to see her back.
