It is disgraceful to let Carol Anne Meehan go. She is the heart of CTV Ottawa and an excellent anchor. I will not be watching CTV any more.

Funny how they laid off the female reporter. Seems every time there are layoffs in TV, it disproportionately affects women anchors. Not watching this station anymore

Carol Anne has always appeared at many charitable and community events outside of her job function and the CJOH/Bell Media benefitted from their association with her. This is a poor decision. I doubt that any execs were laid off or took compensation reductions as part of this cost cutting effort.

I am so sad that ctv is cutting a personality that everyone can relate to....it's like cutting Crosby in hockey.....face brands are just as important as name brands.....shameful.
