WOW...if only Carol Anne was a man, she'd still have her job. Kicked off after 27 years, and how many years does Graham have ????? 5...BellMedia just showed Canada they are part of the "old guys club"..keep the men, get rid of the women...I'll quit watching, and go to CKWS Kingston, or Global Toronto.. Way to go Bell!!!!!

Shame on you for taking away an Ottawa icon, role model and a trusted anchor for decades. Until she returns, many many viewers will be watching CBC. I'm one of them.

As a BCE shareholder I have a certain tolerance for management's decisions. In this case however, I have to question whether whomever made this decision has completely lost their mind.
Bring back Carol Anne and fire the person that made this call. They probably earn more anyway...

One more reason to hate Bell. To lay off a mother who recently lost her husband under horrifying conditions, and just before Christmas, shows Bell's true nature.

I hate to choose favorites. But in this case Carole Ann Meehan should have been given the top anchor job. Graham Richardson would be a greater asset to CTV National News. He substitutes for Lisa Laflamme and does a fantastic job....he is made for a national news medium.

Firing without an explanation or a good-bye or recognition of her service to Ottawa and the region is insulting to viewers. Classless. All male news panel is boring and not in keeping with the spirit of the times.

This move appears rooted in misogyny and is a black eye for Bell Media. If a long serving, trusted journalist like Ms. Meehan has been let go, how many other women behind the scenes were displaced?

Carol Anne is the only anchor you have on that show with background, roots, personality, spontaneity, can perform off script and is PROFESSIONAL. Graham Richardson is stiff, boring, not local, can't hold it together if something goes off script... Carol Anne holds it all together. She should have been the lead anchor when Max left in the first place, but to let her go now would be a final blow to your 6 p.m. broadcast. BRING HER BACK.
