Carol Anne is as much a part of Ottawa as her mentor Max Keeping was. This could never have happened if Bell had any real base in Ottawa. We need human beings in communications not heartless multinationals.

If she is no longer the face of our local news, I will not watch CTV.
This will prove to be a very naive and bad business decision.
They have underestimated local allegiance to a community leader.
Note that they didn't have the guts to fire her while Max was alive.
Reverse this decision based on public opinion. Just admit it was a mistake and keep your audience.

This is a sad day for the Valley. We love our CarolAnn Meehan. How anyone could take this job from this fabulous woman who is so knowledgable, very capable, and just a joy to have in our homes is beyond me. We will not be watching CTV Ottawa news. We have a radio station in the Valley and we will support it unless something changes at CTV Ottawa

You have made a huge mistake in the letting go of Carol Anne Meehan. She was one of the main reasons we watched this particular news station. Not to take away from her co-host but if this is what you do to long time, hardworking, liked by all employees then you are not respected and will lose many followers, Hire her back asap!
