Again a large faceless corporation who cares little for the community. Carol Anne should be reinstated with an apology for the shameless way Bell Media terminated her employment. I have been watching the 6 o'clock news on CTV for as far back as I can remember and always enjoyed Carol Anne for her humanity and reporting skills.

Terrible strategic decision. She's an icon, had warmth and charm. People watch this newscast because of her and JJ. Will only be tuning into the CBC newscast at 6 going forward.

I can not believe Bell could be so heartless in firing someone who has given so much to Ottawa. No men were let go though. I am finished watching CTV News, and will encourage everyone I can to do the same untill until I see her back. You who made this decision should be ashamed of yourselves.

Shoddy insensitive treatment of a community favourite...can't understand why she couldn't say goodbye. Obviously all staff were muzzled and they weren't allowed to say farewell publicly. Feels like a death in the family

She is a star in our community. She is more important to us than Bells CEO, and she has done more good for this City than you can ever know. Max Keeping would be very angry if he were with us today. You need to reverse this layoff.

I was really angry when I read about Carol Anne being let go. My husband and I watch the news every night at 6pm and she will be greatly missed if she is not there.
