Bell Media is not only disrespectful to Carol Anne, it obviously does not care about it's loyal followers of CTV news. Not only was Caro Anne laid off without any warning, we had to hear about it from CBC news. There was no mention of the disappearance of Carol Anne. Bring her back. Is this how you treat your employees. You say that this is necessary because of budget cuts, when we all know what your profits are.

I remember Carol Anne when I lived in Ottawa. I think she co-anchored with Max Keeping during that time. For Heaven's sake, bring her back! Good luck, Carol Anne!

I will refrain from ever watching ctv / bell owned channels again. Completely disgusted with the lack of common sense and compassion. Staying with CBC apps for my devices from now on.

We usually watch the news while eating dinner - it's been that way for over 20 years. Without Carol Anne, there's no sense of connection. Plus, as someone already pointed out, it's now all white men - hardly representative of the community. Plus, some of them are not even very good at their jobs. I wish Carol Anne all the best; we'll miss you.

This is an out rage, if you are cutting people at least do it by keeping the ones that have been there the longest stay. They have dedicated their lives to CTV and you do this what ever happened to the last one to hired are the first ones to be layed off!!!!

I do not understand this decision. Such callous disregard for one of Ottawa's finest citizens and contributors to this community. If Bell Media has any consideration for the Ottawa viewership you would reconsider this ill-conceived decision and reverse it.
