Carol has been a MAJOR part of the fabric of Ottawa, just as Max Keeping was. This is an outrage, the fact the Bell Media would just throw her to the side as if the 26 years that she had behind the anchor desk was nothing, FOR SHAME!!!

My parents, taught me the importance of local news, as I did with my children.
Nothing like sitting down to familiar and trusted faces. New look for CTV new station for me.

What did you do? If it is budget cuts get rid of the higher salary, Graham. Carol Anne Meehan has more seniority and should stay. It seems as if Bell is keeping the males and getting rid of female employees. In this day and age? Shame on you CTV. I will let you know that if Carol Anne is not reinstated my viewing for news will be CBC and I am not alone. Perhaps if you are looking to lay off employees you should lay off the team who decided to get rid of Carol Anne. That will save you a few dollars.

Really sad that Carol Anne was let go. She she brought warmth and professionalism to every newscast. Hopefully Bell Media will reconsider having her back!

Although I moved to
Toronto 10 years ago, I still consider myself an home grown Ottawa Valley gal. Carol Anne is as part of Ottawa as Beaver Tails. This is a ridiculous decision that Bell Media has made and she should be re-instated.
