It is a deplorable act by Bell Media to
just abolish the positions and personnel namely Carol Anne Meehan and Carolyn Waldo after all
of their dedicated and faithfull service for many years. There is no
respect for long term employees and they should not have been treated in such an unruley manner.
Shame on you Bell Media - you are a disgrace to the Media world.

We will boycott CTV news at 6:00 PM for the asinine move. CBC is now our station of choice. Bell Media obviously is classless.

So glad Max never had to see this happen to Carol Anne. I'm signing to show for her support. If by some miracle that do do ask her to return I would understand if she declined now knowing how disposable they think she is. She carried Graham when he first came to the station as he was always making mistakes mistakes. All the best to you Carol Anne.

To the Bell Media customers who are upset by these cold actions, the best way to make your statement is to turn the channels on all of your media systems.

My family and I have enjoyed tuning into CJOH/CTV at 6 o'clock every evening to see Carol Anne Meehan and her co-anchor bring us up to date with the current news across our City and the World..She is the ultimate professional in every way and I would strongly urge a reconsideration of this unfortunate decision..

I wonder what would Max say? I am effectively boycotting watching the CTV 6:00 p.m. News until at the very least Carol Anne has a chance to say goodby to her viewers. What a poor Public Relations stunt on behalf of Bell Media!

we make time everyday to watch the CTV news because of Carol Ann and Graham - we tape it if we can't watch right away. She does her job with gusto ! not a good decision!

Carol Anne Meehan is the only reason I was always watching the Ottawa News since Max Keeping retired. Richardson should be removed from this position. Carol Anne loved Ottawa and surrounding areas. She not only was trusted in giving the news at 6 pm, she also vollunteered to host many charitable organisations. I do not want to miss her, I want her to be rehired.

I am devastated and disappointed about the layoff of Carol Anne and, if she wishes, I would like to see it recinded. She's the shining light of the 6 pm news and always should have been made anchor rather than that idiot Richardson (who can't say a full sentence to save his life!). My TV switch no longer goes to 7.
