It is appalling that CTV would lay off such an experienced and engaging anchor. All due respect to Graham Richardson, but this just smacks of sexism and ageism and I find it appalling.

I have watched and listened to CarolAnn for years on CTV Ottawa News and a year ago I moved out west and i still watch Ottawa news only because she is the news anchor on there

I have grown up watching Carol Anne Meehan ever since I was a little girl. She has done so much for the community. I am in complete shock that this has happened and am extremely disappointed in those responsible for her being let go. She adds such warmth and passion to the news. I will no longer being watching CTV news without her. I find Graham Richardson to be cold and apathetic.

This is a devastating loss for the City of Ottawa. She is a legend and CTV needs to bring her back. Max Keeping would be ashamed of this decision. Shame on CTV!!!

This is a horrible way to treat long time employees who have dedicated their time and energy to the company and our community. This is also a step back in time to when only men co-anchored broadcasting. Now Bell Media have only MEN at the table when we are living in a society of equal opportunities for men and women. Just because she is making more than others she is the one to wear the brunt; She is also a single mom. Also Carolyn Waldo a Olympic athlete wow I guess we will have to watch the news on other stations as this station and company needs to be boycotted. Let them loose some more money.
