Carol Anne is such an asset to CTV Ottawa and the community that she should be brought back.

Carol Anne Meehan is, just as Max Keeping was, the face of the CTV Ottawa news ... and it is inconceivable to me that she has been let go. I will no longer watch CTV news. And the manner in which she was "pink slipped" is absolutely a slap in the face to not only Carol Anne, but to all of her loyal watchers. Please reinstate Carol Anne. With all of the turmoil and upheaval in the world, she is a familiar, friendly face and loved by all.

I was shocked and upset that Carol Anne Meehan was laid off, so much so that I have now dropped Bell and CTV in favour of CBC in Ottawa. This was a very poor decision by Bell Media executives in Toronto and I agree with this petition statement.

I understand the need to meet your bottom line but firing a single mom after 27 years of service based on her age and salary is unforgivable. The head of Bell Media, who happens to be a woman, should be deeply ashamed of herself.

Carol Anne Meehan after 27 years. She is a community leader, and has deep roots in Ottawa. Known for lending much of her free time to charitable and humanitarian causes

Carol Ann Meehan is the face of CTV News. She is a strong, hard reporter yet has a sense of innocence about her which is some of the many qualities Ottawa has come to love.
Without Carol Ann, CTV News will never be the same.

So sad. Unfortunately in this world it is only about the money and not the human
being. We have watched you every night for all these years.
We will miss you!

Carol Anne has been a member of that family for 27 years, in addition to JJ, these are the two that should of not been let go. She needs to come back. Max would be very upset at this decision.

She has been part of the news at 6 forever. When her husband died she was off for some time. I lost my husband too. She came back and that was a happy day for me. Please apologize and bring her back after time off with pay ok
