Typical that some bean counter decides what we, the people of Ottawa, get or don't get to choose who we wish to get our news from. It's all about money. They don't care that she made her news coverage personal, that she connected with her audience and made us feel we mattered. Instead, we are stuck with Graham Richardson, Mr. Smug, who always has his stupid comments and feels he has to re-explain what his colleague has just told the audience. Get rid of him and bring back Carol Anne. Michael O'Byrne and her have a great chemistry and do the best job of them all. So much for meaningful local news.

Carol Anne is an icon in the Ottawa community. I think it is outrageous that she was laid off. She was not even given the a chance to say goodbye to her fans. I will NOT be watching CTV news without her - I will be tuning into CBC from now on.

Ms. Meeham was the heart of the news at 6:00 p.m. She is a part of our community and extended family. Until Ms. Meehan is back on the air anchoring the news I will not watch.

Carol Anne Meehan is an extremely caring person, especially for the city of Ottawa and its people. She has represented the city and the news in the utmost professional & honest way. We have your back, Carol Anne. To let you go is a huge injustice to you, your longevity and integrity through many, many years in Ottawa and in this media industry, and for all you gave to the community in heart, hours and spirit.
Bell, by now, you should feel shame and you should know better than to let Carol Anne go from your employment - she is loved and cared for by everyone. Bell, you are less professional & caring than a gnat on the wall.

It is a disgrace to let Carol Anne go. Please reinstate her in her position. She is a great community leader and a trusted anchor who is an empowering example to all. Whoever made this decision is not in touch with today's world.

I feel there is a clear injustice in the work force . I strongly feel that Carol Anne Meehan had more seniority, she deserves to be offered a choice to stay or leave above her Co anchor who replace Max Keeping....yes it would be different seeing a woman conducting the news alone but in 2015 I would hope woman are seen equally as men ...sad that some companies are geared towards money and greed and forget about caring, compassion, kindness and justice♡
