Sad day when you axe a 27 year employee who is loved in the community to save a few pennies ....shame on you Bell ...heartless

Bell Media demonstrably lacks class; this is the Lady who can show you how its done.

Bring carol ann back....this is an ageism issue. It's interesting both women are 50 plus. It's disgusting after their loyalty to ctv.

I was totally shocked and horrified that Carol Ann Mehan was fired by CTV. Graham Richardson reads the news and Carol Ann provides the news and gives it the human touch... warmth and a very personal touch... I watch her every night! Shame on CTV!!!

She is the only reason I watched the news.....she truly looked like she loved her job.

Carol Anne has been so much more to CTV Ottawa than just a news anchor. Not to understate the role of the news anchor but Carol Anne has been invited into the living rooms of many families in Ottawa for over 20 years. We like her, we trust her. She has been the public face CTV Ottawa since Max Keeping retired. With her extensive charity and community work she represents what I would hope the CTV execs would want to be their brand. Though I realize that the delivery of news and information has changed greatly with the internet there is still a need for local coverage. The CTV executives can certainly be more creative on cost management that jumping to the easy go-to Axe that so much the corporate world uses as their first line of cost cutting. I will be very disappointed if Carol Anne is not reinstated and may have to consider getting my news from other sources other than CTV Ottawa if they don't.

I support Carol Ann and all that she means to the community and not the faceless suits at Bell Media! Therefor I will boycott anything to do with Bell media until they make this right. Enough is enough!

She may not want to go back. I am sure her trust with her employer has been broken. Can't see in anyway how this was a good decision from a CTV perspective. If things are that bad that they feel they have to make such controversial and public decisions they won't be around long.

I grew up with seeing Carol Anne everyday with Max at 6 p.m and still watch the news today. She is part of our family. Please bring her back!
