Very unhappy to hear that Carol Anne was laid off yesterday. Carol Anne has been coming into my home for 27 years, bringing me the news of our city and the world. Her warmth and professionalism will be greatly missed. I would like to add my name to a petition to bring her back.

Shocked to learn that the female anchor who has 27 years of experience at the Ottawa news desk was laid off while the male anchor who has been at that desk for 2 minutes was retained. I have rarely missed the CTV news at six in Ottawa in the last 18 years. Now I'll be tuning in to CBC.

Don't even live in Ottawa anymore, but growing up she was always on the tv at 6 telling me what was going on in the community. No reason for this amazing woman to be out of a job!!!
