I watched ctv news because of Carol Anne because i trust her to inform us. With everything Carol Anne did for her community under the name of CTV this is a disgrace. Please reconsider and bring her beck. Meanwhile i'll be watching cbc news.

Carol Anne is the face of the six o'clock news - great to watch - Bell Media has made a big mistake.

Not only despicable corporate greed but the manner you discarded Carol Anne like a piece of garbage you throw away. Carol Anne, YOU are the reason my wife and I watch CTV news every evening now that our beloved Max has left us. You are family to us and welcome you very evening in our living rooms. There are things in life that are much more important than $$$ Bell media. No reason for us to tune into CTV now that Carol Anne has been so disrespectfully dismissed! Bring Carol Anne back!!!

I moved overseas years ago, and have just recently returned to my hometown of Ottawa. It was wonderful to see Carol Anne Meehan, JJ Clarke, Michael O'Byrne, Joel Haslam and indeed the whole team still on deck. Bell Media has destroyed my faith in corporate bigshots having a heart. Reverse your decision, it's important to our community, who look forward every night to CJOH News with Carol Anne.

You have got to be kidding. Eliminate a VP or two or reduce the executive bonuses. You would get a much bigger and positive result all the way to the bottom line.

Please return Carol Anne to her position. She was the best part of the local news at 6 on CTV and has more seniority than Graham; does that not count for anything? She doesn't deserve to be shoved out the door after all this time.

It seems ridiculous to lay off a person that has spent 27 years giving of herself to the community and providing a service to the Ottawa area. A well known public figure that will be missed!

Will not be watching CTV news anymore as Carol Anne was the heart and soul of this broadcast, she has always given so much of herself to the community

The manner in which Ms. Meehan was dismissed without any chance to say good-bye to viewers was despicable. When lay-offs occur, seniority is usually a main consideration. However, the majority who were let go have more than 20 years' experience. Some of those who remain have been fairly recent hires. I guess Bell Media thought it would be cheaper to offer severance packages to the 'old' folks. Ms. Meehan, by the way, is a much better newsreader than her co-anchor who survived the cuts.

I will seek my news elsewhere until Carol Anne is returned to the anchor desk where she belongs as chief anchor.
