The main reason I watched the CJOH evening news was the trustworthiness of its news anchors, especially Carol-Ann Meehan. It's a very sad day knowing she won't be there to present the six o'clock news

It's all about money, forget loyalty. You've just publicly disclosed what Bell Media is all about.. I'm sure that there were other ways to save money. Bell Media doesn't care about the local content.

This is the most rediculous news I have heard coming from Ottawa. Of all people to cut, why Carolanne? I have watched her since the very beginning when we first moved to Ottawa, with my Mom and now my Children watch with us. There's a sense of familiarity in who you trust in reporting the news and that has been taken from us and from her. I know this, because my children were just as shocked and saddened by the news, as much as we were!! So wrong on so many levels. Shame on you Bell Media!!!

Carol Anne Meehan is a community leader, and has deep roots in Ottawa. She has lent much of her free time to charitable and humanitarian causes, Carol Anne embodies the best of what it means to be a role model. For nearly three decades, the people of Ottawa and Eastern Ontario and I have warmly invited Carol Anne into our homes during dinner time, and we consider her to be a part of each of our families. Bell Media needs to reverse their decision and return this icon of the CTV News to her position.

Very short-sighted decision which denigrates CTV Ottawa's News product. Decision and process was cruel and clearly made by those who don't understand the Ottawa market. Weakening the product = lower viewership = lower revenue = downward spiral. Find the savings elsewhere in admin or management - not the front lines!!
